Intergenerational Friendships with University of Michigan Students

Assigned partnerships between participating UL residents and UM students encourage development of intimate personal friendships that transcend age differences and endure for many years. These interactions eventually enable comfortable conversation about family, friends, professional goals, personal problems, and more. Collaborative pursuit of mutual interests literally ranges from UM athletics, to the history of art, to the stock market, shopping, shared meals, attendance at concerts, computer assistance, and beyond.
